Laying her one and only clutch

A beautiful white dragon landed in the hatching sands. She was bigger than normal whites as she was a winter dragon. She had come here to lay her one and only clutch and wait for it to hatch before going /between/. She had found hers but hers had rejected her, so she would go /between/ and hope to be reborn one day and that hers would accept her. She finds a nice spot and lays down to start laying her eggs. As she laid her clutch, her eyes whirled the color of the sorrow she felt about being rejected and what she would do when her clutch hatched and her children impressed. She was never able to find the male who had caught her. It didn't matter now. She would be gone when the clutch hatched and he would never know that he had fathered a clutch. She laid a clutch of 50 eggs, including 5 queen eggs.

Akadeanna was again exploring the Weyr; a winter flitt sat on her right shoulder as she had found the solitary egg while exploring the mountain range nearby and it had impressed her. She found herself again at the Dragon Hatching sands shocked finding a winter dragon there, with a very large clutch, but she saw the sadness in the dragons eye colors and she cautiously moves closer to the mother.

Cherreth moved her queen eggs to one side of the clutch and put a protective wing over them. She hoped that no female would reject any of her daughters or sons in this clutch. Then she notices the woman approaching and she says, You may approach my clutch. I just finished laying them. I am Cherreth and this is my one and only clutch I will ever have.

Akadeanna smiles at the Winter’s voice bowing and moves closer cautiously before she says Thank you Cherreth. They are very beautiful and do my eyes deceive me or are there 5 Queen eggs? My name is Akadeanna I am Rider of Ruby Denarath, I was exploring the Weyr when I found you; I am sorry this is your only one. May I ask you what makes you so sad?

Cherreth gives a slight smile. Thank you. And no your eyes do not deceive you. There are 5 queen eggs. A pleasure, Akadeanna. I see. If you hadn't you would've been a good rider for one of the queens of mine. I see. Yes, this will be my only one. The reason I am sad is, I found a girl who was compactable with me but when I approached her, she threw snowballs at me and I had to flee. I felt fear inside her, so I left her alone. It's because she rejected me that I will go /between/ after my clutch hatches and my children impress.She showed Akadeanna an image of the girl. that is what she looked like the last time I saw her.

Akadeanna smiles and says No problem Cherreth. For your first clutch that is good, I saw them before you hid them. I wouldn’t reject any Dragon who wanted me, I’m actually good friends with the first male Gold Rider, even if it was a green or white I wouldn’t reject. I am sorry it will be. She stop listening to the Winter talk then she growls seeing the image of her daughter and she shifts her eyes calling Stinger to bring ‘the brat’ to the hatching sands the Seeker King said he would. She then readjusts her eyes and says Her name is Krasria she is my daughter; I have sent someone to bring her; I’m going to have some words with her; if things go right you won’t have to leave the world so soon.

Stinger soon appeared carrying Krasria by her hair which was in his front Digits and he unceremoniously drops Krasria at her mother’s feet and he lands and bows to the winter before shifting to his Human form.

As she dropped to the ground, Krasria swears. "Do you have to be so mean?" Then seeing the dragon, she got up to run to the entrance, fear showing hard on her face. "Don't let that thing near me." She was shaking terribly as she backed up.

Jaylon asks, “Did you have to be so mean to that winter who wanted you? I know what you did to her.” A Gold Dragon landed at the Entrance blocking it, Stinger had called Rinth to help incase the girl chose to try and run. Also at that a Dragon that was black with Gold tones landed near Cherreth a young man dismounting from the Obsidian he had a sword that looked like Akadeanna’s.

Akadeanna moves closer to her daughter and she says, “I’m ashamed of you Krasria, I can’t believe you would reject Cherreth that beautiful Winter Dragon! I taught you better than that, I taught you that all life is precious! This is her first clutch and if you keep rejecting her this will be her only clutch!”

Krasria glares at him? "What I did to her? What about what happened to me with a gold dragon. I had a gold dragon throw me into a very cold lake. I was sick for 8 weeks afterwards." Seeing the gold dragon she cringes and backs away. "That's her. She's the one who threw me in that lake I told you about." Cherreth nuzzles the Obsidian. You are the one who caught me, aren't you? This is our clutch. That girl there,She nods at Krasria,had rejected me when I tried to impress her. That woman there is trying to convince her that she did wrong by throwing snowballs at me. But I can feel the fear coming from her.

Krasria glares at her mother. "Ashamed of me? I fear all dragons." she glares at Rinth. "She's the reason I fear dragons. She threw me in the ice crater lake and that damned thing is icy cold. I was sick for 8 weeks. How can I accept her after what has happened to me? you taught us right but you never told us how mean dragons can be to us." But she eyed the man who had arrived on the male Obsidian and she thought he was very handsome. If only he didn't ride a dragon but he did.

Jaylon says, “Dragons can be playful little one. She probably didn’t mean to get you sick; some Gold Dragons are playful.” He looks at Rinth and says, “That’s Rinth, she’s one of the most playful Dragons I’ve met, and she even plays with me, Yellow Jacket, Skybomb, & Starlight.” Aukath nuzzles Cherreth back and says Yes I am the one who caught you, I am Aukath and my Rider is named Austin. We did well, I heard from that woman Akadeanna 5 Queens. That’s not nice she rejected you; I hope she can convince the girl to accept you, you were the first I’ve flown.

Akadeanna says, “Dragons don’t hurt humans, they might tease them, but that’s usually because they like the Human just like men teasing women they like! Like men if they don’t like someone they usually ignore them.” She looks at Rinth and says, “Oh that was you who she did that to, her name is Rinth the first Gold Dragon to choose a male Rider, you get along good with her Rider Wesley. I don’t think she meant to get you sick. They aren’t really mean, but Rinth is quite playful.” Rinth looks at Krasria and she says I am sorry I made you get sick Krasria, I didn’t know the water was cold, I like your mother Akadeanna and I felt her around you I was just being playful; trust me you don’t want to see what I would do if you don’t accept that winter; anyone would be honored to ride her and she gave 5 Queen’s! That’s amazing for a first time mother! Austin watches the others trying to convince the girl to accept the winter he says I hope they can convince her beautiful Cherreth; I think your chosen is a beautiful woman, and I can tell she’s daughter of a Knight Of Cybertron too and that is a great honor.

Krasria snorts. "I've been told they are all mean, not playful. Well I was sick. So she's playful?" She looks at the gold and then Jaylon. "So, she's played with you, Yellow Jacket, Skybomb and Starlight?" Cherreth smiles. You are as handsome as your rider and I'm glad to know it was you. A pleasure, Aukath. He seems very nice. Yes we did. Yes, she is right. 5 queens. I know it's not nice that she rejected me. I'm glad you are and I want us to have many more clutches together.

Krasria snorts. "They don't hurt humans? That they tease them? Oh, is that so? Well that gold I guess liked me. I wouldn't know." She nods. "Yes, that was me she did that to. Oh, really? I thought golds only impressed females. Wesley is her rider? I didn't know but we are great friends. Well she did. That's what Jaylon told me." Krasria stares at the gold. I accept your apology, Rinth. Yes, it was cold. Ah so that's why you did that to me. Yes, she is my mother. I don't even want to think of what you would do to me. She gave 5 queens? And this is her first clutch? Cherreth looks at Austin. I hope she accepts me too. I'm glad that you do and you are very handsome. You would make a great husband to her, I can tell. She is? That's shocking. Krasria sighs. She knew that they wouldn't be gentle on her if she rejected the winter dragon and she guessed that she had to get over her fear of dragons. She approaches Cherreth cautiously. Cherreth watched her chosen approach and she bows her head to Krasria for the girl to scratch her eye ridges. Krasria looks at her mother and then she reaches up to comply with Cherreth's request. I'm sorry I rejected you before, but I have feared dragons for so long. I thought you meant to attack me, that's why I threw snowballs at you. But I accept you Cherreth.Cherreth's eyes changed from sorry to happiness as impression was made.

Jaylon says, “Whoever told you that lied to you. Look at me I play with the adults every day and help Wesley with the newly impressed dragonets too and I’m unharmed, look at your Mother and Father they both have Dragons and they are unharmed too. I am sorry you were sick. Yes she’s very playful.” He nods and says, “Yes she has played with us; sometimes Wesley joins us other times he doesn’t.” Aukath says Thank you very much, you are very beautiful yourself and your hopeful Rider is gorgeous too, I hadn’t known you had a possible Rider, but it doesn’t bother me I only left as I didn’t think you would want me because I thought you were wild and I have a Rider; I heard call from Akadeanna so I came, this Weyr is my home. Likewise Cherreth. He is very nice; I wouldn’t have chosen a mean Rider or an uncaring one. I’m glad 5 Queens. I know what happens when a Dragon is rejected I’m glad you are still with us though. I want us to as well Cherreth.

Akadeanna nods and says, “That’s right they don’t, you’ve seen me working with my Ruby before and I’m unharmed. Yes they tease them. Yes that is so. Yes I think Rinth does.” She says, “Rinth told me about that. Yes really. Rinth thought all females except her Rider’s twin were too stuck up for her; but she knew a Silver Dragonet waited for Kathryn so she chose a male instead. Yes Wesley is her Rider. Now you know that, yes I know I’ve heard you two are. I’m not surprised he told you that too.” Rinth says I’m glad you accept it. If I had known I wouldn’t have tossed you into it. Yes that’s why I did that to you. I’m glad I was right she is your mother. You might be daughter of a friend of mine, but I would do anything to protect another Dragon. Yes 5 Queens. Yes it is her first; Aukath there is the Father and his Rider is named Austin. Austin says Those trying to convince her are strong-willed it might work. Thank you, I can honestly see why Aukath chose you for his first time flying a female. I’m glad you think I would, I wouldn’t hurt her I would give my life to protect her. Yes she is, I am was a Knight myself so I can feel it. Akadeanna smiles as her daughter accepts the Winter and Aukath bugles in joy as he heard it too. Austin moves closer to Krasria and says, “I’m glad you accepted her finally; my name is Austin I am Rider of Obsidian Aukath who fathered Cherreth’s clutch.”
